How to open a bank account in Singapore

The local banks in Singapore are DBS Bank OCBC Bank United Overseas Bank (UOB) Standard Chartered Bank Hang Seng Bank Maybank HSBC

Next I’ll take DBS Bank as an example.

For expatriates, an ID card and a valid passport are required.

For students,a letter of acceptance from the school is required

Provide a copy of any of the documents for each country/jurisdiction in which the tax return is resident

Proof of Cell Phone Ownership

For children under 16 years of age, birth certificates, passports and entry permits are required.
